Test me on the use of the Present Simple and the Present Continuous using language appropriate for B1-level (CEFR) learners, with words from the General Service List. Each sentence must provide enough context and an appropriate time expression (for example, “usually” or “right now”) so that it’s very clear whether the simple or continuous is correct. Give me one sentence at a time with one gap. Underline the gap where the verb is missing. Give me three answer options (a, b, c). All of them should be grammatically correct, but only one should fit the meaning of the sentence. Ask me to choose the correct option. If I get it wrong, explain why it’s wrong in simple English that a B1 student can understand. There can only be one correct answer. Once I get 10 correct in a streak, show this message: Well done!
